OATI Spearheads the Future of Electric Vehicle Adoption

Industry leaders in load management gathered for the 40th Peak Load Management Alliance (PLMA) on November 04 – 06, 2019, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Professionals from around the world shared their knowledge and expertise to foster discussion around maximizing the possibilities of energy stakeholders. OATI took part in the conversation as Silver Sponsors of this event.

Electric Vehicles and their management within power grids arose frequently as a topic of interest during the conference. As the adoption of EVs rises, the ease of managing Electric Vehicle Service Equipment (EVSE) becomes more vital, whether it be in a public charging space or a fleet environment. OATI’s Matt Kiesow, alongside Brad Rains of Seven States Power Corporation, addressed this issue through their presentation, “Ahead of the Curve – EVSE Billing & Control.” Employed with the right solution, EVSEs can be managed seamlessly making their adoption a much more attractive prospect. Kiesow and Rains showcased OATI EVolution™ as a premiere EVSE Network Management Service. With supportive features like dynamic billing and pricing strategies to manage each EVSE, OATI EVolution™ allows for easy direct to utility billing charges, which will propel EV adoption in new communities.

OATI DERMS solutions accompanied EVolution in promoting EV adoption. By having a system that is compatible with EV along with other DER assets, utility planning issues can be eased. This will ensure that billing is handled accurately to customers and members.

We would like to thank PLMA for allowing us the opportunity to share our progress towards the future of EV adoption with all in attendance.
