Moving Toward the Grid of the Future — Attendees Drive the Business of Energy at Annual Conference

Attendees drove the business of energy at the 2019 OATI Energy Conference with great success in Las Vegas. Conference attendees and distinguished industry keynote speakers from across the world explored and discussed the latest trends, opportunities, challenges, and technology advancements needed to move toward Grid 4.0™ – the Grid of the Future.

With a stage-setting Executive & CEO Address and thought-provoking keynote speakers, attendees powered industry-focused discussions and took advantage of frequent networking opportunities with OATI staff and industry colleagues. Keynote speakers included energy industry leaders Adam Richins of Idaho Power, John Bush of Avangrid Renewables, Martin Huang of Hydro One, Ed Hedges of Evergy, Audrey Lee of Sunrun Inc., and Sass Peress of iSun Energy.

Tailoring the conference to meet their business needs with over 45 unique Product, Knowledge, and Trainings Hubs, attendees participated in and discussed industry-specific topics with OATI subject matter experts. This included continued improvements and enhancements of OATI solutions to best meet customer expectations, strategies to adapt and lead changes in the energy industry, and several new OATI innovations such as CTA-2045, IoT SCADA™, AMIoT™, Visualization, Big Data Archiving, EVolution™, and much more.

The annual Welcome Dinner networking event, “Where the Rubber Meets the Road,” featured the ballroom decked out with checkered flags, maps, landmark destinations, and a full roadway leading into the dining room. The evening was full of transportation-themed fun and games, with the classic Johnny Cash performance during “Car-aoke” stealing the show!

“Since 1998, OATI has hosted the annual Energy Conference to share insights and bring the benefits of technology to the energy industry. More than ever, the industry relies on constant technological process and innovation as catalysts of change,” said Dr. Sasan Mokhtari, President and CEO of OATI. “With the continued support of our customers for nearly 25 years, OATI was proud to enable attendees to explore the limitless opportunities of the energy industry today and in the future.”
