OATI Celebrates One Year Anniversary of Microgrid Lights
OATI is pleased to announce the one year anniversary of the Microgrid Lights on the Microgrid Technology Center in Bloomington, Minnesota. The display is made up of a 100-foot-tall LED wall, four illuminated office floors, and a wraparound roof. The building has featured over 60 different light displays celebrating not only local events, but also holidays from around the world.
The Microgrid Technology Center has become a Twin Cities landmark, catching the attention of people from across the state. OATI has partnered with organizations like the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) and the Colon Cancer Coalition to help raise awareness for important health issues.
The lights have also showcased support for the United States military, Minnesota sports teams, and major events like The Big Game hosted in Minneapolis this year. As we move into the second year of the Microgrid Lights, OATI looks forward to expanding the displays and incorporating more requests from the community.
“We are proud of the OATI Microgrid Lights,” said Dr. Sasan Mokhtari, President and CEO of OATI. “Not only does the building house cutting-edge technology, but the outside showcases the power of smart energy with LED lights powered by our microgrid. We are glad people enjoy the lights.”
