OATI Named Certified Nodal Exchange Trade Capture Vendor

Integrated with Nodal Exchange, OATI can receive and process trades electronically from markets served by Nodal Exchange.

Minneapolis, MN: February 05, 2014 – OATI, a leader in software applications that manage trading and settlements of nodal and zonal power, is now a certified trade capture vendor for Nodal Exchange, a commodities exchange that allows its participants to trade cash-settled, fully standardized contracts in a cleared market, enabling market participants to effectively manage basis and credit risk. Nodal Exchange is the first commodities exchange dedicated to offering locational futures contracts and related services to participants in the organized North American power markets.

To answer the complexities of trading within power markets, OATI webFinancial will now interface with Nodal Exchange to receive executed trades electronically which eliminate errors and streamlines the trading workflow. As a trusted commodity trading and risk management solution, OATI webFinancial enables users to manage market exposures to optimize returns.  The addition of Straight Through Processing (STP) of Nodal Exchange transactions is another way OATI continues to support the business of managing risk.

“Utilizing OATI webFinancial to receive and process trades electronically achieves accurate trade reconciliation with trades executed on Nodal Exchange,” said Sasan Mokhtari, Ph.D., President and CEO of OATI. “As a certified trade capture vendor, we are dedicated to providing traders with the tools necessary to succeed within the markets.”
