OATI Counsel Jerrod Montoya Elected President of InfraGard Minnesota Members Alliance

Open Access Technology International, Inc. proudly announces the election of Jerrod Montoya to lead InfraGard Minnesota Members Alliance.

Minneapolis, MN: March 03, 2016 – Jerrod Montoya, Security and Compliance Counsel at Open Access Technology International, Inc. (OATI), has been elected President of InfraGard Minnesota Members Alliance (InfraGard). The 2016 InfraGard election took place following the regular general membership meeting in January. The ballots were sent to the chapter’s 1,000+ members and election results were announced on February 09, 2016.  
 
As President, Mr. Montoya will be responsible for, among other things, overseeing all Executive Board and committee activities. He will also work to facilitate the establishment of Sector Chiefs to serve as primary points of contact for the FBI across the 16 Critical Infrastructure Sectors identified by the Department of Homeland Security. Having previously served in other At-Large and Executive Officer positions in InfraGard, Mr. Montoya is keenly aware of the opportunities awaiting him on this new path.
 
At OATI, Mr. Montoya provides counsel on legal, policy, regulatory, and strategic matters. He also manages several internal cybersecurity related initiatives and provides Project Management support for new projects in OATI’s rapidly expanding smart grid area. Mr. Montoya is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota Law School, where he teaches a course on cybersecurity law and is an advisor to the Cybersecurity Summit.
