Energy Industry Leader to Present Global Smart Grid Webinar

Dr. Ali Ipakchi of Open Access Technology International, Inc. (OATI) will address the integration of Distributed Energy Resource (DER) technologies in an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) Smart Grid Webinar titled “Distributed Energy Resources and Grid Modernization.”

Minneapolis, MN: December 08, 2015 – OATI is pleased to announce Dr. Ali Ipakchi, Senior Vice President Smart Grid & Green Power, will deliver a one-hour IEEE Smart Grid Webinar on December 14, 2015. The focus of the Webinar will be on the current state of electric power systems and distribution grid operations in the ever-increasing levels of DERs. The Webinar, titled “Distributed Energy Resources and Grid Modernization,” will be globally available to IEEE members and hundreds are expected to participate. 
 
The Webinar will provide an overview of DER technologies, distribution grid modernization requirements, and grid service requirements for mitigating the adverse impact of variable generation of distribution and transmission grid. Dr. Ipakchi will also include the impact of distributed resources on the supply and demand economics, reviewing new market-based initiatives for retail operation in his presentation.
