OATI Selected to Help Fayetteville PWC Take Control of Peak Demands

Open Access Technology International, Inc. (OATI) will provide its webDistribute CVR and GridControl solutions to the Fayetteville Public Works Commission (PWC) to monitor voltage data, perform peak shaving, and reduce demand charges.

Minneapolis, MN: March 30, 2016 – OATI is proud to announce PWC has selected OATI webDistribute CVR and GridControl solutions to support its Voltage Reduction Program. The combination of OATI webDistribute CVR and GridControl creates a seamless, end-to-end voltage management solution that operates in conjunction with PWC’s distribute grid equipment systems. This solution will enable PWC to perform Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR) on a dispatchable basis with full visibility of voltage levels and grid conditions provided by OATI GridControl.

OATI’s Smart Grid technology solutions provide PWC with the capabilities to optimize and centralize control of Load Tap Changing (LTC) devices and switch Capacitors (CAP) by changing voltage and reactive power to meet system operational requirements, while adhering to American National Standard Institute (ANSI) voltage limits. This will provide significant value to PWC for managing peak demand and energy consumption through voltage regulation within its service area.

“OATI takes pride in working with PWC. Through webDistribute CVR and GridControl, PWC will have an innovative and integrated hardware and software solution that utilizes the industry’s most stringent cyber security measures,” said Sasan Mokhtari, OATI President and CEO.
