Enrolling your Wi-Fi connected ecobee smart thermostat into your Utility’s program is quick and easy using your ecobee app and follow these instructions!

First, you must have eco+* activated on your thermostat in order to participate in the program. To activate eco+, follow these quick steps.

eco+ can now be enabled during the thermostat installation process!  If you already have eco+ activated, you can skip to the next section).

Activating eco+:

1. Verify that your ecobee smart thermostat device is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
2. Open your ecobee app.
   1. You may be prompted with an option to “Set up eco+” upon opening your app. If so, follow the instructions within your application to complete setup.
      1. Emails from ecobee may also link you directly to the eco+ setup within your phone’s mobile application.
   2. If you are not prompted:
      1. From the home screen, click on the “Account” icon at the top left of the display
      2. Click eco+ option from the menu
      3. Follow the instructions within your application to complete setup.
   3. You will be presented a final screen thanking you for enabling eco+.
3. After enabling eco+ in the app, verify that the eco+ icon now appears on your ecobee smart thermostat’s home screen.  A short message may appear directing you to find settings options under Main Menu > eco+.
4. Now you’re ready to enroll!

Enrolling through the ecobee app:

1. Customers with an address tied to their ecobee account will be able to enroll into smart thermostat programs.
2. Open your ecobee app:
   1. From the home screen, navigate to My Home > Manage Homes
   2. Then edit Utility Information.
   3. Select your utility provider.
   4. Based on your selected utility provider, you will be presented with an option to enroll in your utility’s program (if there is an offering available in their territory at this time).
3. Click “OK” to enroll your ecobee smart thermostat device into your utility’s Smart Thermostat Program. See Your Utility’s Program Details for Program information, participation incentives and terms and conditions.
