Sally Ride Day

Today OATI honors accomplished Sally Ride as she was the first female astronaut to go to space. May 26th was chosen due to it being the day she was born and has been celebrated since 2003.
The importance of this accomplishment has rung true for two decades, as it’s shown that women, and anyone, can do anything they put their minds to.
