Carl Lewis Wins Gold

On this day at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, Carl Lewis became the first track and field athlete since Jesse Owens to win 4 gold medals in a single Olympics. Lewis went on to be voted “Sportsman of the Century” by the International Olympics Committee.
