Associate Project Manager

Qualifications:

  • Two year technical diploma for HVAC, or two years of facilities equipment maintenance experience, including pump and motor repairs. Prior experience with Honeywell EBI, Trane Tracer SC, and other automation and monitoring software is preferred
  • MN low pressure boiler operator license preferred
  • Familiar with large chilled water cooling and air handling systems

OATI is looking to fill our full-time GridControl Technician position with an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, career minded, individual that possesses a strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork. The candidate must have good written and spoken skills. This position reports to the GridControl Production Manager. The GridControl Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance to Product and Project managers and teams related to OATI hardware products and associated software solutions. 

The ideal candidate for the GridControl Technician will have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree and/or 1- 3 years of support or technical background in information technology, software, or electrical/mechanical engineering.

Gas Software Sales

OATI is looking for a highly successful Sales Account Executive to join our Sales Team.  The Sales Account Executive will promote the value proposition of the OATI wholesale gas management solution (webTrader Gas) and the gas transportation management solution (webPipeline). Senior Firmware Engineer

OATI is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer with experience defining, designing, validating and working through system test challenges for microprocessor and microcontroller based systems.  The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of work experience in this area.  Experience with 32-bit ARM based microcontrollers and related tools and debuggers is essential. Ability to use logic analyzers and oscilloscopes to facilitate firmware/system debug is desired.  Additionally, having experience with wireless protocols (ZigBee, SubGHz, custom) is desired.  Required to support the effort to create production functional test solutions with supporting firmware and software. Comfort in reading data sheets and reference manuals and understanding expected hardware behaviors is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience firmware for microprocessor/microcontroller based systems.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing drivers and low-level wireless protocols is desirable.   

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in translating functional design requirements into high quality and testable code is essential.
  • The ability to use standard IDEs for implementing and testing embedded firmware on microcontrollers.

Software Systems Analyst/Integrator

OATI is looking for a Software Systems Analyst / Integrator with 1-3 years experience in software system maintenance, troubleshooting, and integration for an opening in Minneapolis, MN.
 

Requirements:

  • Assume responsibility for maintenance of high availability system
  • Capable of reading, tuning, and maintaining SQL Stored Procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studios
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design concepts
  • Expert level knowledge in relation to data integration, web services, and database optimization
  • Ability to work in a small, experienced, and energetic team on a rapid, agile project schedule
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to engage with and manage the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and make recommendations to management

Duties and Tasks:

  • Responsible for quality software change deployment to test production environments
  • Perform database performance analysis and tuning
  • Investigate system transactions to determine proper application processing
  • Troubleshoot system errors and alerts, and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Be a team player and work in collaboration with team members

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Database SQL knowledge and experience required
  • Substantial experience in .Net 3.0/4.0, WPF applications- development and deployment
  • Programming capability and communication skills needed, along with aptitude for learning new applications

Transmission Planning Engineer

TranServ International, Inc. (TranServ) provides specialized transmission planning and operational services to electric transmission system operators. Located in Minneapolis, MN, its mission is to provide independent and innovative transmission management services to the electrical industry.

TranServ is seeking a new graduate or experienced power systems electrical engineer for Transmission Planning Engineer openings. The Transmission Planning Engineer provides knowledge, abilities, and skills on how to plan, develop, and coordinate electrical transmission system expansion planning projects, and includes renewable and Smart Grid energy projects. The Transmission Planning Engineer will provide engineering support for daily operations and manage compliance with tariff requirements, and is responsible for maintaining and managing transmission system models for power flow, transient stability, and short circuit analysis. The Transmission Planning Engineer will also perform or manage System Impact and Generator Interconnection studies and will participate in several related activities.

  • Education or experience performing transmission planning studies in compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC OATT requirements and industry reliability standards)
  • Demonstrated experience working with PSS/E, MUST or CAPE programs, or comparable programs
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communications
  • Experience with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) regional processes a plus
