Associate Project Manager

OATI is seeking business and legal professionals for positions as Associate Project Managers who are responsible for assisting in managing complex software application deployments within the energy industry.  The position requires demonstrated proficiency in communication, problem analysis, and ability to review and understand industry business practices and standards. Successful candidates will guide customer-facing projects that feature software solutions for utility clients responsible for managing electrical grid system operations.

Building Systems Operator

OATI is seeking a Building Systems Operator (BSO) to maintain, operate, and optimize facilities. The BSO will initially be operating OATI’s internal facilities and grow into operating other facilities. OATI’s BSO group is growing and looking to add additional qualified staff to the team.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 2 years technical certificate or diploma for HVAC, Electrical Systems/Metering, or 2 years of building systems operation experience
  • Prior experience with the following technology is a plus: Honeywell EBI, Trane Tracer SC/ES, Schneider Power Monitoring Expert (PME), Struxureware, Meters (ION and PM), Johnson Controls - Metasys, IPSwitch WhatsUp Gold, other SNMP monitoring systems, or any other building automation and monitoring systems

Customer Systems Analyst

Electronics Technician

OATI is seeking an Electronics Technician with the ability to create Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layouts, update and manage schematics and Bill of Materials (BOM’s). They will be required to research and select components and tools used in product development and production. Create prototype platforms for evaluation and develop test hardware. Manage and update a central component repository.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 year Associate Degree, Electronics Technician Certification (ETA) or relevant experience

Entry-Level Electrical Engineer

OATI is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer who will be working under the direction of Senior Electrical Engineers. This person will define, design, and validate production-level microprocessor and microcontroller based systems. Additional experience, coursework, and/or internships using wireless modules and Radio Frequency (RF) understanding is desired. Skills and understanding of switch mode power supplies and implementing PMIC solutions is preferred.  

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Facilities Technician

OATI is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and support facilities and equipment. The Facilities Technician will initially be focused on the mechanical/electrical systems at OATI’s internal facilities, and will grow to operating other facilities. OATI’s Facilities team is growing and in need of additional qualified staff.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 2 years technical diploma for HVAC, or equivalent facilities equipment maintenance experience, including pump and motor maintenance and/or repairs
  • Prior experience with any building automation and monitoring software is a plus
  • Familiar with chilled water cooling, hot water heating, and air handling systems
  • Experience with high and low voltage electrical systems including backup generators and distribution equipment is a plus
  • Prior experience supporting data  center infrastructure (power, cooling systems, and clean agent fire suppression) is desirable

The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for internal and external meeting room reservations and webcast set up; assigning badges to guests as well as new employees. Microgrid Solutions Account Executive

OATI is seeking a highly motivated sales hunter and results-orientated individual responsible for generating revenue for OATI’s industry leading Grid Modernization solutions. This position focuses on municipal and electric cooperative electric utilities, cities/city owned critical infrastructure, and on other markets for microgrid operations and other OATI application solutions.

Successful candidates will possess an aggressive and strategic prospecting skill set and a consultative approach to sales. She/he will work to understand and solve business objectives, incorporating the entire suite of OATI available Grid Modernization solutions. This position is responsible for developing an annual territory sales plan and identifying specific actions to achieve assigned targets/goals and quotas. Performance will be measured by new bookings, recognized revenue plus sales pipeline growth and the ability to attain other sales objectives. Key responsibilities include: prospecting, building a sales pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting, discussing solutions, and closing business. Other responsibilities include: market analysis, sales strategy development, tradeshow support, and proposal writing and sales reporting. Collaboration with technical staff, other colleagues, and supporting the overall team effort within the sales organization is expected.

This position requires moderate to extensive travel. Experience in electric utility industry operations, building facilities management, and electric utilization, or Distributed Energy Resources or, Microgrids or similar, is highly desirable. A knowledge of Grid Modernization with a focus on microgrid solutions and operations and/or related areas is highly preferred. Preference is for a Minneapolis-based position but candidates could be based within a designated regional territory upon further discussions.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering business or related discipline
  • 3 to 7 years of sales experience or equivalent, including exposure to utility/distribution industry
  • Go-getter sales ability with proven success identifying and closing new business

Senior Firmware Engineer

OATI is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer with experience defining, designing, validating and working through system test challenges for microprocessor and microcontroller based systems. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of work experience in this area. Experience with 32-bit ARM based microcontrollers and related tools and debuggers is essential. Ability to use logic analyzers and oscilloscopes to facilitate firmware/system debug is desired. Additionally, having experience with wireless protocols (ZigBee, SubGHz, custom) is desired. Required to support the effort to create production functional test solutions with supporting firmware and software. Comfort in reading data sheets and reference manuals and understanding expected hardware behaviors is essential.

Qualifications:
