Associate Project Manager

OATI is seeking business and legal professionals for positions as Associate Project Managers who are responsible for assisting in managing complex software application deployments within the energy industry.  The position requires demonstrated proficiency in communication, problem analysis,  and ability to review and understand industry business practices and standards. Qualifications:

  • Two year technical diploma for HVAC, or two years of facilities equipment maintenance experience, including pump and motor repairs. Prior experience with Honeywell EBI, Trane Tracer SC, and other automation and monitoring software is preferred
  • MN low pressure boiler operator license preferred
  • Familiar with large chilled water cooling and air handling systems

GridControl Technician


OATI is looking to fill our full-time GridControl Technician position with an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, career minded, individual that possesses a strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork. The candidate must have good written and spoken skills. This position reports to the GridControl Production Manager. The GridControl Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance to Product and Project managers and teams related to OATI hardware products and associated software solutions. 

The ideal candidate for the GridControl Technician will have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree and/or 1- 3 years of support or technical background in information technology, software, or electrical/mechanical engineering.

OATI is seeking a highly motivated sales hunter and results-orientated individual responsible for generating revenue for OATI’s industry leading Grid Modernization solutions. This position is primarily focused on all facets of microgrid operations and may include grid enhancements.
 
Successful candidates will possess an aggressive and strategic prospecting skill set and a consultative approach to sales. He/she will work to understand and solve business objectives, incorporating the entire suite of OATI available Grid Modernization solutions. This position is responsible for developing an annual territory sales plan and identifying specific actions to achieve assigned targets/goals and quotas. Performance will be measured by recognized revenue plus sales pipeline growth and the ability to attain other sales objectives. Key responsibilities include: prospecting, building a sales pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting, discussing solutions, and closing business. Other responsibilities include: market analysis, sales strategy development, tradeshow support, and proposal writing sales reporting. Collaboration with technical staff, other colleagues, and supporting the overall team effort within the sales organization is expected.
 
This position requires moderate to extensive travel. Experience in electric utility industry operations and complex sales is highly desirable. A strong knowledge of Grid Modernization with a focus on microgrid design and operation and/or related areas is required. Only candidates based in Minnesota, or within commuting distance of the Twin Cities, MN will be considered at this time.

Gas Software Sales

OATI is looking for a highly successful Sales Account Executive to join our Sales Team.  The Sales Account Executive will promote the value proposition of the OATI wholesale gas management solution (webTrader Gas) and the gas transportation management solution (webPipeline). The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for all sales activities from lead generation to close. Senior Firmware Engineer

OATI is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer with experience defining, designing, validating and working through system test challenges for microprocessor and microcontroller based systems.  The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of work experience in this area.  Experience with 32-bit ARM based microcontrollers and related tools and debuggers is essential. Ability to use logic analyzers and oscilloscopes to facilitate firmware/system debug is desired.  Additionally, having experience with wireless protocols (ZigBee, SubGHz, custom) is desired.  Required to support the effort to create production functional test solutions with supporting firmware and software. Comfort in reading data sheets and reference manuals and understanding expected hardware behaviors is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience firmware for microprocessor/microcontroller based systems
  • 3+ years of experience implementing drivers and low-level wireless protocols is desirable.
