Open Access Technology International, Inc. (OATI) recently deployed OATI webMeter as the technology platform as the automated Time of Use (TOU) rate billing solution for Connexus Energy (Connexus). Connexus has offered this new TOU rate as part of its Critical Peak Project (CPP) smart meter customer pilot which allows customers to save money by encouraging less energy consumption usage during peak time periods.
Connexus faced challenges with the TOU program as additional functionality was needed to calculate and automate the new billing determinants. “OATI stepped in and addressed our needs by presenting a simple solution in a very quick and cost effective manner,” states Jeff Hendrickson, Connexus Energy Customer Operations Manager. “OATI has provided us with exceptional customer service.”
